VisCorner (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the viscorner.com website, blog and the VisCorner mobile application.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the site, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the site, and information about how you interact with the site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
1. “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
If you have an account and you log in to our site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Third party cookies we use:
Trustpilot: We use this cookies to allow Trustpilot to send automatic emails to our customers after an order has been completed so that they can review us on Trustpilot. You can unsubscribe from this emails if you no longer want to receive them.
2. “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 60 days.
3. “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse our site.
We keep contact form submissions if the information is needed to respond to why we were contacted (e.g. to send additional information regarding the query). We delete this information when it is no longer needed for the reason we were contacted and we do not use the information for marketing purposes.
When you register on VisCorner, we collect certain “Personal Data” that can be used to contact or identify you. The data may include, but not limited to:
- Email address
- First name and last name
- First name and last name
Additionally, we collect information related to the kind of service you want to offer on VisCorner (Service providers only), this information is displayed on your profile and we refer to it as “Profile Information”. The information may include, but not limited to:
- Your profession
- Company name
- Languages you speak
- Years of experience you have in your profession; and
- Other information related to the service you want to offer
The other three information we collect is “Verification Information” and “Payout Information”. Verification information may include:
- Identification document
- Professional certificate
- Company registration number (in Finnish: Y-tunnus)
Payout information generally includes banking/payment information such as:
- Account Name
- Account Number
- Bank Name
The “Verification information” and “Payout information” is confidential.
Lastly, when you subscribe or pay for your services through VisCorner, we collect certain information we refer to as “Order Information” from you. This include your name, billing address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
- Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them
We will store your name, address, email and phone number, and this information will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 2 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing address.
If you upload images to our websites, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Comments and reviews
When you leave a comment or review on our website we collect the data shown in the comment/review form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection if you are not logged in.
Embedded content from other websites
Contents on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
We use the Personal Data we collect to identify and contact you when needed. For instance, we may send you automated emails to confirm the actions you have taken on our site. We may also use this information to contact you regarding the orders you have placed on our site.
The Profile Information is displayed publicly on your profile for other users to learn more about you and the service you provide.
To keep our users safe and to prevent fraud, we require the service providers registered on VisCorner to verify themselves. We use the Verification Information to confirm the identity of the service providers and to verify if they can truly provide the services they want to offer on our website.
We use the Payout Information to transfer customers’ payments to you when they pay for the services you offer on VisCorner.
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed on our site (including processing your payment information and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
Communicate with you;
Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
WHAT WE SHARE WITH OTHERS
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. This include, but not limited to:
Web hosting providers
We accept payments through Stripe and PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe and PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

If you leave a comment or review on our site, the comment/review and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
When you place an order through our site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
Security logs are retained for 60 days.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.
